3-minute typing test

Three minutes is where stamina shows up. Anyone can sprint for 60 seconds; holding a clean rhythm for three minutes is the real test of typing fitness. Great for spotting where fatigue creeps into your accuracy.

How the test works

The timer starts the moment you press your first key. Type the passage as it appears — the test measures correct keystrokes, so accuracy counts. By default it's lowercase with a period at the end of each sentence; use the toggles to add capitals, punctuation, or numbers. When the clock runs out you'll get your WPM, accuracy, and error count.
